Full biography
I received both my Ph.D. (2025) and M.Sc. (2013) degrees in Computer Engineering from Shahid Beheshti University (SBU), Tehran, Iran. My research has primarily focused on the Internet of Things (IoT) in healthcare, with emphasis on IoT systems architecture, data privacy, process mining, and data analytics. I am currently a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Catholic University of Louvain (UCLouvain), working on anomaly detection techniques for Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS).
Previously, I served as a research assistant at the LIRIS group at KU Leuven (2023–2024) and the Chair of IT-Security at the University of Passau, Germany (2019–2020). I have also served as a lecturer at SBU and Ahvaz Sama University. Alongside my academic career, I have several years of industrial experience as a Research and Development (R&D) specialist. I have been awarded scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology (MSRT), and I have authored multiple articles in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. My research interests include IoT, data science and analytics, security and privacy, anonymous communication, and process mining.
